Bengal is the most important part of India. The Bengal's cultural heritage always attracts tourists from other parts of the world. If you come first time in Bengal or live in Bengal, these are the must-visit places of rural Bengal for both of you. Now, the most vibrant festival of Bengal- Durga Puja 2025 is coming, so this is the right time to explore Bengal. During Durga puja Kolkata is famous for its artistic pandals, creative idols & mind-blowing decorations. Except this crowded lanes & street food joints you must be visit the authentic flavor of ancient rural Bengal. Without this heritage temple tour your Bengal chapter is incomplete.

At first I visited Guptipara at Hooghly district. Around 450 years old Durgapuja of Sen Bari is the main attraction of the Gram Bangla durgapuja parikrama.

Another attraction of Guptipara is Brindavan Chandra Temple. There are three temples. Ram Chandra temple, Brindavan temple & Chaitanya temple.

The amazing terracotta art work of ancient Bengal is the specialty of this temple. Here you can see the rare ancient Fresco painting on the wall & celling both. It is made by natural colours only.

Next we go for Banshberia Hanseswari temple at Hooghly district.

·         108 Shiv temples of Kalna located in Vardhaman district. There are 2 circles of temple.

·         Just opposite of the shiv temple is another a complex. Here you can see Rashmancha with some another temple. Like Lalji temple, Pratapeshwar temple, Krishna Chandra temple and many more.
At last we saw another Sen family Durga puja at Kalna.
One more thing, within this trip we enjoyed authentic typical Bengali lunch included mach- bhat & misti doi…. It was just amazing, couldn’t describe in words. It was a memorable trip of rural Bengal. Recommended for everyone who love culture, architecture, art work, painting, photography or something different from crowded city life.
